TEMPORARY ORDER 2019

For the safety of the public and workforce whilst drainage improvement works are being carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to impose temporary mandatory speed limits on part of the A2990 (Old) Thanet Way at Chestfield near Whitstable.

The following speed limits apply in both directions.
A temporary compulsory 40 mph limit will be imposed on A2990 (Old) Thanet Way from Chestfield Roundabout (junction with B2205 Chestfield Road) eastwards for approximately 350 metres.
From this point, a 30-mph speed limit will be imposed on A2990 (Old) Thanet Way further eastwards for approximately 550 metres.
From this point, a 40-mph speed limit will be imposed on A2990 (Old) Thanet Way further eastwards for approximately 300 metres.
The speed limits apply to the extent clearly indicated by appropriate signage displayed on site.
The speed limits are in conjunction with temporary traffic lights.
