The Parish is situated to the north of the City of Canterbury in Kent. The seaside town of Herne Bay is the other side of the A299, Thanet Way that marks the northern boundary of the parish. Greenhill, part of Herne Bay, lies to the west, the parishes of Hoath and Chislet are to the east and Sturry parish is to the South.

Usual opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.15 am to 1 pm.

Documents – Residents who wish to examine any of the councils documents or planning applications are advised to phone first to save a wasted journey. The Parish Council’s Freedom of Information Guide is available here.
Meetings – Residents are able to attend any full council or committee meetings and may ask a question during the public adjournment session on items on the agenda or at the chairman’s discretion. Full council meetings are normally held on the second Thursday of the month. Most meetings are usually held at The Wootton Room at Herne Mill. Herne & Broomfield Parish Council was awarded Quality Status in February 2006 and re-accredited in 2010 but decided not to re-apply subsequesntly due to the costs involved.
