Welcome to Herne & Broomfield Parish Council web site.
The Parish is situated to the north of the City of Canterbury in Kent. The seaside town of Herne Bay is the other side of the A299, Thanet Way that marks the northern boundary of the parish. Greenhill, part of Herne Bay, lies to the west, the parishes of Hoath and Chislet are to the east and Sturry parish is to the South.

Usual opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.15 am to 1 pm. (answer phone on at all other times.)
Documents - Residents who wish to examine any of the councils documents or planning applications are advised to phone first to save a wasted journey. The Parish Council's Freedom of Information Guide is available here.
Parish Council Surgery - Residents are welcome come along to raise matters of concern or just pop in for a chat on each Saturday before the monthly Parish Council meeting, from 10 am - 12 noon at the Wootton Room, Herne Mill or phone 01227 742700. Dates for 2010.
Meetings - Residents are able to attend any full council or committee meetings and may ask a question during the public adjournment session on items on the agenda or at the chairman's discretion.
Herne & Broomfield Parish Council was awarded Quality Status in February 2006.
