Road Closure: Margate Road South – 30 July 2018

KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
MARGATE ROAD SOUTH, HERNE
(PROHIBITION OF DRIVING)
TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2018
To allow the safe use of a mobile platform for maintenance works to a telecoms mast, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit southbound traffic on part of Margate Road (South), Herne, near Herne Bay.
A closure is planned for Monday 30 July 2018 for up to 1 day, between 08:00 hours and approximately 16:00 hours.
Margate Road will be closed to southbound traffic at the junction with the westbound slip-road off the A299 Thanet Way.
The alternative route is by continuing westbound on A299 Thanet Way slip-road to Mill Lane, and then via Hunters Forstal Road back to Margate Road.
Northbound traffic on Margate Road (South), Herne is unaffected, and can still access the Thanet Way.
The above date is reliant on satisfactory weather, due to the nature of the equipment being used. If adverse conditions prevent the works going ahead, they will be deferred until the next suitable Sunday.
