Horse owners reminded to secure riding equipment following thefts.

*This is a message from the East Kent NHW coordinator for Canterbury and Thanet*

Kent Police is reminding horse owners to ensure riding equipment is securely stored and marked following two high valued burglaries in west Kent.
Owners of horses and horse equipment can help to prevent theft by ensuring all tack and horses are secured and where possible tack is not visible and is stored out of site.

Good quality CCTV is also a useful deterrent and can help to identify suspects should the worst happen. Property should also be marked and where possible photos taken to help identify any stolen equipment.
